1. Are you in a job that you truly enjoy?
Do you mean do I enjoy the versatile and challenging demands of my job that require me to wear many hats such as: taxi driver, cook, laundry worker, dog walker, homework helper, counselor, fashion consultant, peacekeeper, housecleaner, errand runner, and secretary? Hell no. But it never gets old when, once in a blue moon (or Mother’s day, whichever comes first) they manage to say Thanks Mom, for all you do. Phew!
2. If you could do any job in the world what would it be?
3. If you could be a character in a novel who would you be?
Hermoine in the Harry Potter books. Smart, confident, always knows how to get out of a jam. And it helps to carry around a wand and fly on a broom sometimes.
4. When it comes to spending time with those you love, do you think it should be about quality or quantity?
I believe in short bursts of quality time, that way we don’t get on each other’s nerves! 2-3 days is perfect. A run for slurpees at 7-Eleven, a bike ride, a trip to an amusement park. It’s all good.
5. Is there a job/career you wanted but realized you couldn’t possibly do for one reason or another?
Oh, you mean besides Victoria’s Secret model and the fact that I don’t have the body for that???
6. If you could live anywhere in the world or out of this world where would you live?
I’m thinking I could really enjoy living in Hawaii. Selling suntan lotion and flip flops. Or teaching scuba lessons. See above.
7. Where would you most like to visit and who with?
I’ve been seeing some pretty awesome pictures of Greece lately so I kind of dream of going there someday. With my hubby and kids.
8. Which skill would you like to learn?
I’m thinking hypnosis would really come in handy, that way I could get my kids to do what I want without any hemming and hawing from them. Seriously though, I really want to take some photography classes next to learn my camera better, maybe even get a DSLR. 9. What made you laugh today?
The statement that my daughter made claiming she didn’t know how to put sheets on her bed!! Really? I don’t think so.
10. What are you looking forward to tomorrow?
The fact that we will be one day closer to summer, my favorite time of year!
11. What is your sign and do you believe in horoscopes etc?
12. If you could change one thing about your life thus far, what would it be?
I guess I would change the fact that I’m not a bikini model, living in Hawaii, teaching scuba lessons and selling suntan lotion. OK, actually I wouldn’t change anything. I do happen to like my life presently. I can always retire to Hawaii. And sell flip flops. And scuba dive.
13. If there was one charity you could give a huge contribution to, which charity would it be and why?
Probably rare diseases. They just don’t get the same attention and people afflicted are one of just a few in the world sometimes. That can be very hard for them and their families looking for answers, research, and treatment. The support networks and awareness just aren’t as large as say breast cancer or diabetes. 14. Should smoking be legal? While I’m not supportive of smoking, I don’t see how you could outlaw it.
15. What are your views on the smoking ban in public places? I love restaurants that have smoke free policies. Such a better feel than when they just have smoking sections which really don’t do much to separate the areas.
16. Why do you blog? For personal fun and enjoyment. Sometimes I even have something to say.
17. Do you have a favorite author? I like many different authors so I can’t say I have one particular favorite. I enjoy the writings of Ken Follett (Pillars of the Earth) Jhumpa Lahiri, Charles Martin, and Thrity Umrigar to name just a few. Great writers and storytellers.
18. Can you play any musical instruments? Not a one. I do not possess a musical gene unfortunately. That doesn’t stop me from loving music. I can get pretty good tapping pens on the table though. My inner drummer comes out and I get a beat going in my head. Maybe I should play tar buckets on the corner? I love
and all the things they turn into instruments. Very cool. And superbly entertaining.
19. What would your ideal car be? One that self cleaned, 450hp, 50 mpg and a sunroof. Maybe I could be happy with a motorcycle though?? Nah, helmet hair.
20. Describe yourself in one short sentence.
I’m a quirky, fun loving, kind soul who takes herself way too seriously sometimes. That’s why I love people who make me think, laugh, and relax a little.
21. What do you look for in a spouse/other half?
22. Worst meal you’ve had?
The food in my kids cafeteria when I’ve come in for lunch sometimes. Hard to believe my son looks forward to pizza day. Yuck! If he eats that cardboard, how come he can’t eat what I make at home?
23. What do you do to relax in the evening?
Watch TV or read.
24. Do you get along with your siblings?
Yep. Even though we are spread out both in age and distance, we manage to catch up where we left off.
25. Do you have any regrets?
Not learning Spanish. It would be a plus in volunteering and other jobs I look at sometimes. My French has gotten me nowhere.
That's all for now folks. If you want to participate in this, just leave me a comment letting me know you did and a link back to my post.
Cheers!

Your comment about not having the patience to work with other people's kids made me laugh - it was why I picked to work with older kids when I taught. I was pretty sure I'd have all the itty bitty kids crying!
Glad to hear you and your sibs can stay close - nothing like a good talk with a sib!
I've given thought to becoming a preschool teacher but I just know after one week I would fly out in a panic and be completely overwhelmed!! I would be able to get my crafty-ness in though which would be fun!
Thanks for following Mommy Time Out
I am always interested in fellow bloggers!! maybe you will win the Victria Secret give away trip to hawaii!!
I am your newest follower..pls follow back if you can.
I failed my scuba diving test on our honeymoon...so my husband didn't go without me....
I couldn't be a teacher either, both of my in-laws were and I don't know how they did it! Great blog, have a great weekend!
My husband tried that line about not knowing how to change sheets too. yeah, right.
And yay for Cancers! I'm one too, and would love to live in a tent on a beach in Hawaii. In a heartbeat!
Haha I love Hermoine too! I related to her because I always felt like I was apologizing growing up for being a nerd and wanting to learn...but she embraces it and that's so cool! Thanks for visiting and commenting last week on my post on Mommy Guilt...I really enjoyed your take on it!! :-)
